On Thursday, November 7, 2024, the 5th edition of the Yellow Cowries Financial Literacy Brainee Competition brought together talented students from Lagos State Education District I and VI for an unforgettable experience.
The event featured group speaking competitions and exciting rounds of our unique gamified curriculum and card game, where students put their knowledge to the test.

In a captivating demonstration of the power of gamification to bolster financial literacy and strategic acumen, students from various schools in Akwa Ibom showcased their financial prowess at the Yellow Cowries Financial Literacy Brainee Competition.
Presented by Yellow Cowries in collaboration with @janigeria Junior Achievement Nigeria and the Ministry of Education, Akwa Ibom, and generously sponsored by @stanbicibtc Stanbic IBTC Holdings, the competition witnessed the participation of over 80 eager students from 18 secondary schools across the state as they vied for the coveted top prize with Topfaith International Secondary School, Mkpatak clinching the first prize. Uyo High School and St. Benedict High School tied for second place, and Crystal City International School secured third.

As part of Global Money Week, VBankNG and Yellow Cowries hosted the Braniee Competition.
The event featured 22 Lagos State schools in a quiz competition with Yellow Cowries Financial literacy card games. It was organized to promote financial literacy among school children and to educate them on the importance of money management.
The quiz competition tested the knowledge of students in financial literacy, while the Yellow Cowries, financial literacy card games provided a fun and interactive way to learn about personal finance.
